"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."The following is a verbatim transcription of an official document for archival reasons. Ghost: The energy signal Glint detected is somewhere in this region, but there's no clear path. Let's see if we can find a route.

The Crow: If we manage to connect with the Traveler… what would you ask it?

Cayde-6: Besides how to help? Easy. I want my Sundance back. It ain't fair I'm the only one who got a second chance.

Cayde-6: Wherever I was before that wish of yours pulled me out, she was there too.

Traveling into a mountain cavern within the Landing, the Guardian discovers a cave entrance.

Ghost: I think we found a passage down to the coordinates you sent, Glint. Going in now.

Glint: Be careful.

Cayde-6: There's nothing down there the Guardian can't handle.

Cayde-6: You Ghosts are always so worried about us, but never for yourselves

Cayde-6: Nobody to put you back together, is there?

The Guardian arrives within the Lost Sector known as the Forgotten Deep, where they discover a pool of Hive magic. Upon stepping in it, the Guardian is assaulted by Hive from the Lucent Brood.

Ghost: Lucent Hive? There's Lucent Hive down here!

Cayde-6: Whoa, whoa, no, no, no, no, no. Hold up! You told me Savathûn's glitterbugs WEREN'T working for the Witness.

The Crow: They aren't. [scoffs] I don't know how they even got here!

Stepping within two more pools of Hive magic to summon further Lucent Hive forces, the Guardian defeats a Revenant Ogre to lower the barrier around a Void Crystal. Upon shooting the crystal, the Hive barrier blocking the entrance vanishes, thus allowing the Guardian to travel deeper into the Sector. They step within three other pools of Hive magic to lower the barrier around a crystal before destroying it. Within another room, they repeat the previous process to enter into the final room within the Sector. Upon entering, they are confronted by further Hive forces led by the Lightbearer Wizard, Ei Räkosh, Banisher of Memory. Each time Ei Räkosh loses one third of its health, it will raise its Immunity Shield, forcing the Guardian to step within three pools to lower its shield. Eventually the Guardian defeats Ei Räkosh and its forces, making their way to the fissure of Light only to discover it was strangled by the Witness.

Ghost: We found the source of the Light emissions, but it's being restrained like the others. I don't think it's what we need.

Cayde-6: Well, you know what they say: third time's the charm.

The Crow: You heard him, Guardian. Glint has one more telemetric we can check.

Ghost: And if the Witness has corrupted that one too?

Cayde-6: Hey now, no spiralling into despair. We don't have that kinda luxury.

Cayde-6: Let's redezvous at Glint's coordinates, figure out what to do when we get there.
