(Mission Begins)

Arriving at the Tangled Shore, the Guardian is greeted by Crow, who transmats to their location.

  • The Crow: This is definitely the place, but… it's weirdly quiet out there.
  • The Crow: Revenant Scorn have been turning up everywhere. We've really got to get a handle on this.
  • The Crow: If I could just - wait. Is that-

With Fikrul informing them of his presence, Crow transmats away. Meanwhile, the Guardian encounters passive Revenant Scorn and eventually enter into a cave where they find Fikrul, the Fanatic as well as Eliksni he had captured and detained. Crow then transmats to the location, with Fikrul bowing in reverence.

  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: Father… we ever serve and await return.

Fikrul raises from his bowing stance.

  • The Crow: I'm here. I-I'm back.

Revenant Scorn begin to enter the cave.

  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: Look! I inspire. I avenge. For you. Now, we rule, together! I, as Kell; you, King Uldren.
  • The Crow: Let them go.
  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: Father?
  • The Crow: This isn't - you don't have to do any of this. Please.
  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: This is our purpose! Your teachings! To break their Servitors, their lies… their trust in Light.
  • The Crow: I'm the one who lied - to you. This is just pointless slaughter - please! You can just stop. You can be more than this. I'll help you.

Fikrul looks away from Crow, before turning to face him again.

  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: You… are not him. You are a dead thing, like the others. You wear his face. You steal his voice. Forget his purpose.
  • The Crow: It wasn't a purpose! It was delusion!
  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: Give him back!

Fikrul aggressively slams his staff on the ground.

  • The Crow: Don't!

Fikrul raises his staff in the air.

  • Fikrul, the Fanatic: Hear me, Father! I will rip this imposter from your bones.

Fikrul points his staff at Crow before transmating away.

  • The Crow: Damn it!

Crow transmats away while the Guardian is attacked by the hordes of Revenant Scorn within the cave. They destroy the three Ether Totems to free the Eliksni kept captive within the cages and defeat further Revenant Scorn forces led by two Revenant Barons.

Darkness Zone. Respawning Restricted.

Next, the Guardian picks up a bomb.

  • The Crow: OK, got it. I'm setting up a transmat site. Get that device over there and we can ditch it in orbit.

Carrying the bomb, the Guardian eventually transports the Scorn explosive away to a tractor beam.

  • The Crow: Explosive's taken care off. You did it, Guardian. At least, no one else died today.

The Revenant Scorn forces retreat.

  • The Crow: [sighs] Death is all Fikrul believes in. It's what I taught him to believe in. My faithful acolyte.
  • The Crow: I thought… I could reach him. One more time.
  • The Crow: [sighs] Let's go, Guardian. This is only going to get harder from here on out.
