Lord of Wolves is an Exotic Shotgun in Destiny.

Aquisition

The Lord of Wolves is an Exotic burst fire Shotgun that can be obtained as a random reward, along with the Queenbreakers' Bow and Dreg's Promise, for completing the Challenge of the Elders. In Year One, it was obtainable only through Elder's Cipher Bounties, which were Bounties you had to complete after randomly obtaining the Elder Cipher weapon bounty at the end of a PoE game. This has since been removed since the launch of The Taken King.

Gameplay

The Lord of Wolves is an Exotic Shotgun in the House of Wolves expansion pack. It rapidly fires five shots upon pulling the trigger. It has thirty rounds in its magazine, which is higher than any other shotgun, and it reloads its entire magazine in one reload. It has poor recoil, but deals high damage against any enemy the wielder comes across. The Lord of Wolves may not appear so, but its range properties far surpass those seen in every other shotgun so far, approaching the range of a typical fusion rifle.

Perks

Smart Drift Control—easier to control recoil, less range.

Soft Ballistics—less recoil, less range.

Linear Compensator—more predictable yet plentiful recoil, slightly more range and impact.

Hipfire—this weapon gains more accuracy when firing from the hip (not aimed down sights)

Speed Reload—quicker reload.

Extended mag—more bullets in the magazine (30-36)

Perfect Balance—less Recoil

Special Perk

Devil's Touch—kills with this weapon grant +2 agility (jump height and speed).

Trivia

It is based on a Fallen Shrapnel Launcher, commonly wielded by Captains. However it does not fire small rockets like the Launcher does. In an older version of the gun its unique perk, Devil's Touch, lit enemies on fire to simulate this.
