- — Weapon Description
No Land Beyond is an exotic sniper rifle in Destiny added in the The Dark Below expansion pack. It can be obtained from Xûr, Agent of the Nine or as a random drop from an Exotic primary engram. Because of its incredibly niche role in Destiny, it is widely considered to be one of, if not the most useless exotic weapon in Destiny because of both this and the amount of time required to become familiar and comfortable with how the weapon handles, some of it having to do with the entire ironsights moving with the player when strafing and aiming down the sights, which is not seen on any other Sniper Rifle. A huge problem is that after each shot you have to reload, making it so that if you miss a head shot in crucible, you can quickly hit them again. However, there are some people who prefer the ironsights of the No Land Beyond and use it in competitive modes such as the Trials of Osiris and do very well with it due to being motivated by the challenge.
Gameplay
Year One
Unlike other Sniper Rifles, the No Land Beyond is equipped in the player's primary weapon slot. It features a unique bolt-action reload mechanic, which requires the player to manually cycle the weapon between every shot, reducing its overall rate of fire. It is also the only sniper rifle to not feature a traditional scope, but instead use ironsights. Because it is also a high-impact sniper, players can also take down nearly every Guardian super attack, with the exception of a Sunbreaker Titan at full health and armor.
Year Two
Year 2 brought no significant changes to this weapons, with the exception of a minor tweak to the ironsights.
