Transcript

Sloane: Guardian. We've been on the back foot trying to keep the anchors from forming. It's time to seize the initiative. We can't disable them, but we can stop their eversion pulse. That'll buy some time. See you on the Dreadnaught.
(Mission Begins)
- The Guardian arrives to the Mausoleum within the Dreadnaught.
Sloane: Guardian. Make your way to the Halls of Souls and decouple the Eversion Anchors. I'll meet you there. We'll put a stop to this. Don't rile up the Taken. It's important we keep the element of surprise.
- Navigating to the Hall of Souls, the Guardian enters into one of the rooms containing the Dreadnaught's weapon systems. Following the elimination of a horde of Dire Taken at the hands of the Guardian, Sloane transmats to the location to converse with the Young Wolf.
Sloane: Guardian. You have what you need. Hive systems are disgusting, but effective. The Dreadnaught's power is immense, but we can break its hold over its own weapons and turn it against itself. Disconnecting the Eversion Anchors will stop them from dragging us all into the Ascendant Plane. Show the Taken who's in control.
- Tasked with hacking into the biosystem to gain security clearance, the Guardian inserts the left Wizard hand into the first terminal. Journeying to the next room containing one of the weapon systems, the Guardian defeats the Dire Taken forces defending the depths of the Dreadnaught and inserts another disembodied Hive part onto the second terminal.
Echo of Navigation: You trespass on my throne.
Sloane: No…
- As the Guardian inserts a disembodied Hive part into the final terminal, a vibration is briefly felt across the Dreadnaught. Travelling to the platform where the members of the Taken King's court once emerged, the Guardian is acknowledged by a visage of Oryx containing an Echo in its chest, which manifests in front of the dormant portal.
Echo of Navigation: I am the Taken King. The First Navigator. I rise from the Deep.
Sloane: An Echo! Linked to the memory of Oryx?
- A Hive Knight known as the Voice of Xivu Arath materializes on the left step.
Xivu Arath: BROTHER! KING! MY NAVIGATOR! YOU RETURN TO US!
Echo of Navigation: Xivu Arath. What has become of our war?
Xivu Arath: YOU WERE SLAIN BY A WARRIOR OF THE SKY. THEY STAND BEFORE YOU!
Echo of Navigation: I, slain?
- Savathûn, the Witch Queen materializes on the right step.
Savathûn: Sadly yes, elder brother. You're just the memory of a dead god. The sword you always wanted to become.
Echo of Navigation: I only just mantled myself by the death of Akka. Carved my throne from the worm's corpse.
Xivu Arath: YOUR FORM SHALL REVIVE UPON THE DEATH OF YOUR KILLER. YOUR THRONE WILL BE RESTORED.
Echo of Navigation: If I am destroyed, then I deserve my extinction. My heir, my killer. Step forward.
Savathûn: Stop acting like children, the both of you. We are finally free to create new paths for ourselves.
Xivu Arath: NO! I WILL NOT LET YOU ABANDON US AGAIN!
- The Echo of Navigation vanishes along with Savathûn and the Voice of Xivu Arath as the Hive sisters prepare to rally their armies. Subsequently, numerous eyes appear across the Hive ship as forces of the Dire Taken led by the Resonant Knife materialize.
Sloane: This… this isn't possible! We need to regroup. Get out of there!
Xivu Arath: ORYX, I WILL AVENGE YOU.
Echo of Navigation: Sharpen their knives, that their lie may become my logic's truth!
Sloane: Go!
- Evading the numerous Dire Taken located aboard the ship, the Guardian eventually traverse to the Trenchway and escapes this confrontation by boarding their jumpship.
