Seraph Bunkers are underground defense bunkers created for the Seraphs as part of Rasputin's system-wide resources; which had since been defunct until several were found and made active by the Guardians in the EDZ, on the Moon, and on Io. They were previously active and accessed by Season Pass owners during the Season of the Worthy.
Overview
When you land in one of the Seraph Bunker locations, an opening in the ground can be seen. Enter the opening and eventually you will find the Seraph Bunker.
When you first enter the Bunker, there is another opening into the main part of the Bunker. Here, you will find a console that is operated by Rasputin. Here, you can buy Bunker upgrades, Bounties, and other bonuses. There is also a Frame that collects Destination resources if you have the upgrade.
Upon daily reset, a mission known as the "Daily Bunker Buster" is available, filled with enemies, Champions, and a Boss. You must complete the Daily Bunker Buster to buy Bunker upgrades. With Season rank 32, players can purchase Point Defenses, which will automatically complete the Daily Bunker Buster for the following day, the day of purchase, or the rest of the week, for a fee of Encrypted and regular Warmind Bits.
Season of the Seraph
During the events of Season of the Seraph, Guardians embark on a series of heists wherein they break into Seraph Bunkers to retrieve submind fragments in order to repair the Warmind, Rasputin. Returning from Season of the Worthy is the Lunar Seraph bunker, with an uncovered section deeper within housing the submind Malahayati.
In addition, two newly uncovered Seraph bunkers are found. One on Europa, nestled within Creation of the Bray Exoscience facility, and one at Nkechi's Cut, Twilight Gap.
All of these facilities are protected by Seraph towers. These large, monolithic towers act as a point defense array for the facilities, utilizing projected energy beams to vaporize anything it has tracked and locked onto. Said towers are capable of tracking and firing at multiple targets simultaneously.
The bunker located at Twilight Gap is along the same latitude as the Last City, based upon the position of sunrise/sunset in Operation: Seraph's Shield and Operation: Archimedes, and the position of the Traveler. This Seraph bunker is more than just one bunker of many, being a whole mountain complex with a launch facility that allows egress to the Seraph Station located in a geosynchronous orbit with Earth. The bunker is nestled in the side of the mountain, extending deep within. Its entrance is surrounded by no less than eight Seraph towers situated throughout the terrain. This facility acts in conjunction with the orbiting Seraph Station to control the Warsat Network.
