The Devoted Commander is an Major Tormentor encountered in the Story mission Dissent where it leads Devoted Acolytes and appears after the last one is terminated and players return to the main room.

Gameplay

The Devoted Commander appears after the Guardian has slain the three Devoted Acolytes and returns to the main room. It fights just like any other Tormentor and will consistently summon fourth Dread units for assistance, specifically Attendants, Weavers, and Grims. Once the Devoted Commander is slain, the Guardian can activate the lock to open the trapdoor leading into the lower temple.
