Dikast, Oppressive Mind was a powerful Vex Cyclops that served as the final boss of the Expunge: Styx Mission. It also governed over the Styx domain and maintained the Endless Night through its subroutines.[1]

The Cyclops was later brought back by Quria, Blade Transform, after being destroyed by the Guardian. It was encountered once again in Expunge: Corrupted Styx, under the name Dikast, Oppressive Mind Reborn, where it finally met its end.[2]

Gameplay[edit]

Once half of its health has been depleted, Dikast will summon an immunity shield, along with multiple laser walls throughout the arena. Players must insert the Authentication Key into the installation on the opposite side of the room in order lower the shield and finish off the Cyclops.

In the Corrupted version of the mission, Dikast is capable of summoning Taken as well as Vex.

Trivia[edit]

  • The name Dikast could be derived from Dikastes, an ancient Greek legal office that served as a judge or juror in trials.
