Ether Ritual is a Public Event that occurs on the Moon and in Savathûn's Throne World. Prior to the vaulting of Titan and Mars, this event also took place there. The Hive are attempting a ritual using an Ascendant Portal, and the Guardians attempt to stop them.

Objectives

Capture Hex Circles and defeat Wizards
- Wizards defeated X of 2
Brace Yourself!
- Prepare to do battle.
Defeat the Envoy of Savathûn.
- Destroy the Envoy of Savathûn brought through the portal.

Gameplay

The location for this event is well evident on the map, as the unactive Ascendant Portal and Hex Circles are part of the environment. Once the event starts, two Wizards protected in an immunity shield will appear nearby, alongside two Knight-type enemies and several Acolytes. Players participating must kill each Knight to free the plate they are guarding. Standing on a plate long enough will deprive one of the Wizards of her immunity shield, making it vulnerable to damage. Killing both Wizards will open the portal, which will begin pouring Thralls and other enemies. Eventually, at around one minute from the end, a Wizard boss will appear, depending on the brood and location. Killing it will complete the event.

Heroic Event

After the Wizards are dead, two Hive Crystals will either appear, or become vulnerable. Destroying these crystals triggers the Heroic version of the event. A giant Ultra enemy will exit the Ascendant Portal alongside even more reinforcements. Killing this boss will complete the heroic event.
