The Resonant Knife, First of the Reshaped is a Taken Subjugator[1] seen commanding the forces of the Dire Taken. It would be responsible for killing Eris Morn when she and Drifter went to investigate the Taken's resurgence on the Dreadnaught.

History

Keit'ehr was originally the first attempt by the Witness to use the Light and Darkness to create Dread. However, they were left in a catatonic state. The Witness would leave them in a grave, telling them to prove their existence by escaping their "death" and that their strength would be known should they rise and find the Witness. From their grave, Keit'ehr could see the creation of the Dread and the death of the Witness. Only afterwards would it awaken and go on to prove their worth as a Subjugator.[2]

After being Taken, they would lead their Dire forces to the Dreadnaught in pursuit of the Echo of Navigation. They would ambush Eris Morn and the Drifter, successfully killing the former but not without first being shot point-blank in the face by Eris. The Guardian later confronted the Resonant Knife during a Ritual with Cruxes and Blights, ultimately forcing them to flee.[3]
