Azshradat, Celebrant of Xivu Arath is a Hive Knight commander and Celebrant for Xivu Arath, God of War. Azshradat led a group of Hive to invade Titan after it had returned from its anomalous state in order to impede the Guardians from saving Sloane.[1] They would be encountered once again, leading a raiding party in the depths of Titan, only to be slain by a Fireteam of Guardians.[2]

Gameplay[edit]

The Descent[edit]

During the Mission The Descent, Azshradat appears while the player deactivates the last Hive Totems. The Celebrant will fight the Guardian with their Splinter, summoning reinforcements, and using the Fist of Darkness up close. As long as they are present, the Totem will stay active, maintaining the Overwhelming Battlesong and stopping ability regeneration. Azshradat will retreat after losing a quarter of their health, summoning some Revenant Knights in their place.

Salvage[edit]

Azshradat reappears for a proper battle as one of the final bosses of Salvage. At the beginning of the battle, the Celebrant will be kneeling inside an impenetrable dome shield, while its Hive reinforcements soften up the Guardians. Around the area, there are several Hive plates, which will soon display a rune above them. One of these runes will also hover in the middle of the arena. Standing on the platform matching the central rune will grant the player the "Heinous Rite" buff which can be used to destroy the shields of the Runekeeper Knights and Runekeeper Wizards, which will appear in pairs. Once two pairs are slain, Azshradat will deem the Guardians worthy of confrontation, and rise from their dome. The same mechanic applies to the Celebrant's immunity shield, with each rune lasting for about a minute. Runekeepers will continue appearing during this section, alongside even more, stronger reinforcements, including an Unstoppable Ogre if playing on Legend difficulty. Azshradat's shield will regenerate if they don't take rune-empowered damage for a while, forcing the fireteam to always search for a new rune platform. Draining the entirety of Azshradat's massive health pool completes the activity.
