Molak'al, Subjugator of the Traveler is a Subjugator, specifically a Harbinger, summoned by the Witness to destroy the Guardian.

Gameplay

Molak'al, Subjugator of the Traveler is summoned by the Witness after the Guardian slays Lenurae, Subjugator of Fluxion, and destroys the first statue. The air within the area will become toxic, causing them to slowly take damage. The Guardian must interact with the Darkness seeds to gain the buff known as Shielded from Darkness, giving them protection against the air. Similar to other Subjugators, it will become enraged upon losing 60% of its health and begin to charge towards the Guardian and bring forth its immunity shield shortly after losing 1/2 of its health. To pierce the shield, the Guardian must acquire the Shielded from Darkness buff to walk past resonance barrier and retrieve the Aegis. Once Molak'al's shield is destroyed, the Guardian must run to the pool of Light and use the Aegis's shield to protect themselves from the Witness's storm attack. Once the storm is finished, they must slay Molak'al to bring forth a sword. They must then destroy the lock, and give themselves to Darkness to enter the Witness's consciousness to destroy the second statue. It will reappear and fight the Vanguard allies, giving the Guardian an opportunity to destroy the final statue to weaken the Witness.
