Mor'ak, Lightstealer is a Hive Lightbearer Acolyte Lieutenant who led hunting parties in the European Dead Zone to kill Guardians in order to steal their light. They are encountered as the final boss of the PsiOps Battleground: EDZ activity.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Mor'ak is can be found at the end of Psi Ops Battleground: EDZ activity, after travelling through all of the portals. The boss will immediately summon reinforcements, including Acolytes and Wizards. Mor'ak comes equipped with a Splinter and Swarm Grenades, and has the ability to evade and use Blade Barrage when they have enough energy, indicated by the glow of their eyes changing from green to a fiery orange. Once they have been weakened, Imperial Optus Psions will subdue the Hive Lightbearer and teleport the Fireteam into the Mindscape.

Upon entering the Mindscape, players must proceed forward and interact with the relic to begin the boss fight. Mor'ak will spawn, along with hordes of Hive enemies to assist them. After Mor'ak has lost a third of their health, they will summon an immunity shield and teleport away. Players must then pick up the Synaptic Spear and use it to defeat an Aspect of Savathûn in order to continue fighting the boss. The fireteam will have to repeat this a second time after the Lightstealer's health has been reduced by another third, when they teleport away and two aspects appear. Like before, they both must be destroyed with spear in order to progress to the final phase of the boss fight. From here, Mor'ak is fully vulnerable and can be killed. Upon destroying the Ghost, which can resurrect the Acolyte if left unchecked, the fireteam will return to the EDZ, where the Imperial Opti will leave with a now fully-detained Mor'ak.
