Congressional Offensive is a Six-player matchmade activity introduced in Episode: Rebirth. In it, players must board the derelict Pyramid Essence and battle their way through both the invading Created Congression and the Nightmares drawn by the spirit of Nezarec to steal hidden records from the Witness to learn the origins of the Dark Alliance's new leader and their plans.

Gameplay

Intro

Congressional Offensive begins with the Guardians arriving in a location similar to the start of the Root of Nightmares Raid. As they progress towards an open area, the Guardians can look to the skybox to see what enemy faction they'll be facing that particular week (in addition to an icon on the menu when selecting the Offensive) with Shadow Legion having Warships and Harvesters, Scorn having Skiffs and a Ketch and the Taken having Blights manifesting.

Descending to an area with a large Pyramid door, the Guardians must clear the area of the weekly enemy being supported by Dread units. Once that's done, the Guardians will then need to open the door by standing on three plates to open the door. However, they will be swarmed by waves of Nightmare enemies. Once all three plates have been charged 100%, the waves will stop and the door will open, allowing the fireteam to continue the activity.
