Crimson is an Exotic Hand Cannon that appears in the Curse of Osiris expansion of Destiny 2.
Gameplay
Built in the same fashion as the notorious Red Death Pulse Rifle, Crimson fires in three round bursts, and regenerates health for the user after a kill. Additionally, the main perk for Crimson reloads the weapon instantly after getting a precision kill.[1].
Perks
- Intrinsic: Banned Weapon - Fires a 3-round burst.
- Smallbore: Dual strength barrel.
- Increases range.
- Increases stability.
- Accurized Rounds: This weapon can fire longer distances.
- Increases range.
- Exotic Trait: Cruel Remedy - Kills with this weapon heal the wielder. Precision kills also refill the magazine.
- Heavy Grip: This grip is weighted for recoil control.
- Increases stability.
- Decreases handling speed.
Catalyst
The Crimson catalyst can be randomly dropped from defeated enemies. To upgrade to the full Masterwork, the player must score 300 precision kills with the weapon. Once completed, the catalyst grants the weapon the following perks and traits:

Trivia
- Crimson is the first Heavy Burst frame Hand Cannon in the Destiny franchise, which is followed up by the reworked Warden's Law reprised in Season of the Witch.
- Appearance-wise, Crimson bears a strong resemblance to the Red Death Pulse rifle.
