- — Weapon description.
Patience and Time (formerly Closing Time) is an exotic Sniper Rifle in Destiny. Originally, the rifle was owned by a group of survivalists who operated on the frontier.[1] A weapon best used for the tactic of "camping", the rifle camouflages the user's entire body whenever they are in zoomed view.

Trivia
- It first made its appearance in the E3 2013 Demo, being owned by Jason Jones' Hunter.[2]
- When asked the weapon's name, Jones called it "Shut Up And Get Behind Me", which may have been a nod to a segment of the Halo: Combat Evolved level The Truth and Reconciliation, titled "Shut Up and Get Behind Me... Sir". In another demo, the Hunter's player named the weapon "Better Than Yours"[3], leading to speculation that neither is the actual name of the weapon. This theory is further reinforced by an image of the weapon being displayed outside of the Bungie E3 2013 event, which lists the weapon as an exotic Sniper Rifle called "Closing Time"[4] It was changed once more to "Patience and Time" by the time of the Destiny Beta.[5]
