Rynax, Resonant Bulwark is a powerful Scorn Chieftain who is encountered within Savathûn's Throne World. They appear as the final boss of the Resonant Destruction Public Event in both the Quagmire and the Miasma.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Rynax can appear in either the Quagmire or Miasma areas of Savathûn's Throne World when the Resonant Destruction public event is active. After fighting through several waves of Scorn enemies and guiding the Resonant Splinter to its destination, the Chieftain will spawn at the altar, along with large numbers of reinforcements. Although they are not very big for an Ultra-tier enemy, Rynax has multiple abilities to compensate for their size. They come armed with a Scorn Cannon, which fires explosive Solar projectiles that can travel long distances, and they are also equipped with Ether Totem torches, binds and shields, allowing them to deny their enemies ground, restrain players, and grant themselves and their allies immunity from incoming fire. They also have a stomp attack that can create large, fiery pools around themselves, knocking you back while further draining your health. However, Rynax is not incredibly resilient against attacks, especially when multiple Guardians are present, and they can be defeated without much trouble. After the boss is defeated and the Splinter has been detonated, the event will have been completed and participants may claim their rewards.

If the Heroic version of the public event is triggered, two extra clones of the boss will appear nearby, who must also be killed in order to finish the activity and unlock the chest.
