Husks are one of the units that make up the troops of the Dread.
Gameplay
Husks are fast-moving, melee-focused enemies that prioritize overwhelming the player with their speed, area-denying grenades and their special ability to unleash a seeking projectile, called a Geist, upon non-critical hit deaths that explode upon impact, dealing moderate amounts of damage. They often spawn in groups of three or more, rarely as a single Husk with no other enemies around, or with other enemies but as its only kind there. Husks have a large weak spot on their chest, if killed by a final blow to this area, it will die without spawning its Geist.

Trivia
- Husks bear a resemblance both to the Hive (e.g. both have three eyes) and to the Caretaker, an entity created by Rhulk by implanting a Worm larva within a Scorn. While it is never explicitly stated in-game, Husks may be derived from either Hive or Scorn.
