Battlegrounds (activity format)

Battlegrounds are a three-player arena matchmaking activity format, similar to strikes, that were first introduced with the original Battlegrounds activity, released in Season of the Chosen. Each battleground activity follows certain story elements and objectives relevant to the season it was released with.

There are currently 16 playable Battlegrounds (compared to the 20 playable or reworked Strikes, with another 9 Vaulted), with each seasonal set having added an additional 3, except for the original set of Battlegrounds introduced in Season of the Chosen, which launched with 4:
