The Devils' dominance was uncontested for centuries until a newly risen Guardian slew their Archon, Riksis. As they entered the lair, the team would discover Sepiks being protected by a personal immunity shield along with its worshippers within its domain, after taking out the Fallen within the site, the Prime would deactivate its shield to personally attack the Fireteam, resulting in a battle between the Guardians and Sepiks. During the fight, Sepiks would continuously blast them with its Servitor Eye and summon more reinforcements to help it fend off the Guardians, as well as teleport around the lair to evade gunfire. But despite its tactical abilities, Sepiks would be destroyed by the Guardians, which would cripple the Devils' leadership and ends the biggest threat to the Last City.

===Cosmodrome Arms Deal===
During the operation to stop the Witness and prevent them from completing the Final Shape, the Guardian would help Micah-10 to do what they could to heal the Traveler and helping to locate several lost Ghosts. One of these missions involved finding and saving Hecate, a Ghost that was investigating a rumor that members of House Dusk were moving back into the old House of Devils territory in the Cosmodrome, despite the Devils having been gone for a long time. Once they got close to the location, Micah, Cayde and the Guardian would intercept Eliksni communications bristling with talks about a new Prime Servitor and the fact that remnants of House of Dusk were indeed gathering in the area.
When the team overcame the House of Dusk's defenses and infiltrated their new fortress they would encounter a new copy of Sepiks Prime and once again destroy it. After the battle, Micah would detect a House Salvation Ketch launch, even though the Vanguard thought their forces had rallied at the Pale Heart to serve the Witness. Additionally, Cayde recognized some of the defeated Fallen as renegades from House of Wolves, leading him to deduce that they had interrupted an arms deal and that the House Dusk was offering Eramis a Prime Servitor in exchange for weapons. This track not only implied that Eramis was more Ether-starved than the House of Dusk refugees and that she was not working under the Witness anymore but also that House of Dusk had a spare Prime Servitor to give her, meaning that they must have had another one or an alternative supply of Ether.

It will have all the aforementioned abilities and will behave like its predecessor, but this time around, it has new capabilities. For one, it plants down SIVA Nodes for area denial, some of which cannot be destroyed; if near one of these, you will be inflicted with the "SIVA Swarm" debuff. It will also be significantly more durable than before purely in terms of health count. However, the main mechanic is an elemental shield that can only be taken down using heavy artillery cannons dropped by certain Splicer Captains: Shock Captains for Arc, Splicer Scorch Captains for Solar, and Null Captains for Void, in that particular order. It will bring up these shields one after another when the previous one goes down. Beware that each cannon only has one round that can be fired. Once all three shields are brought down, it will become permanently vulnerable, allowing Guardians to unleash all their attacks on it, finally laying waste to Sepiks Perfected for good.
===Destiny 2=== | |||
Sepiks Prime returns in its original form in the revamped version of The Devil's Lair Strike in Destiny 2. It will once again start the fight after the Fallen it is nourishing are slain. Sepiks's tactics are not much different from before, keeping to the distance initially, firing Void blasts, and letting its considerably increased reinforcements do the heavy lifting. After it is near two thirds of its health, Sepiks Prime will teleport to the center of the arena and summon four Unyielding Servitors, which will shield it from all harm. These servitors must be slain to continue the battle. Sepiks will repeat this tactic once more after it is close to a third of its health remaining, and will then remain vulnerable until slain.

Following the death of Solkis, Kell of Devils, the House of Devils established a stronghold within the Cosmodrome of Russia. Absent of their Kell and political leader, the Devils' Prime Servitor, Sepiks, gained prominence within the House and ruled the Devils alongside Riksis, Devil Archon; who served it as a caretaker and arbiter of its will.[3] The lack of political leadership also allowed Craask, Kell of Kings to exert his influence among the techno-worshiping leadership of the Devils and rule them from the shadows.[4]
At some point, Sepiks's authority was challenged when a group of revered scientists, the Devil Splicers, splintered away from their House as they sought freedom from subsistence on Ether and evolution by augmenting themselves with technology.[5] Among them was the former disgraced Archon Priest, Aksis who led the Splicers.[6]
The majority of the Devils took residence near an old colony ship, named the Devil's Spire, and established The Devils' Lair as a mecca for the zealous worshippers to offer tribute to their machine god in the form of skulls from dead Guardians.[3][7] Like many other Servitors, Sepiks Prime was born in the image of the Traveler and the Devils went to great lengths to protect their main source of life-sustaining Ether.[8][9] The Prime Servitor also spawned its own line of Sepiks High Servitors, most notably Sepiks-23.
Attack on Devils[edit]
- "Beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome... we've located the House of Devils' Lair and the High Servitor feeding them their strength. We must destroy this machine god and send their souls screaming back to hell."
- — Commander Zavala
For years the whereabouts of Sepiks remained elusive, but rumors hinted at its presence within the Cosmodrome. The Devils' dominance was uncontested for centuries until a newly risen Guardian slew their Archon, Riksis. This was celebrated as the first major victory against the Devils since Battle of Twilight Gap and Sepiks would become vulnerable, causing the Devils to heighten their security for Sepiks.[10][11] Rallying their Fallen nobility such as Naksis, Devil Baron and deployed a Devil Walker to deter anyone from attacking Sepiks.
The Vanguard Commander Zavala located the Servitor's position beneath a colony ship and coordinated a Strike against Sepiks.[12] Upon arrival, the Guardians entered a crossfire between the Hive and crews of Devils protecting the entrance to their lair, they then disable the Devils' security mesh layers and disposed their Baron and Walker to reach the Devils' Lair.
In the aftermath, the Devils attempted to replace Riksis with a Rising Archon named Karrhis in hopes of reviving Sepiks, but was also slain. Later, the Guardian sought to acquire a stealth drive hidden in the Devil's Spire and stumble upon the destroyed haul of Sepiks in the Devils' lair.[13]
Return of Sepiks[edit]
- "Why would the Splicers rebuild Sepiks? They already have SIVA."
"I can make a guess. Maybe an offer to the other Devils. You know — "In SIVA we trust" and "In SIVA, all things are possible."" - — Ghost and Shiro-4.
Following the demise of the Devils' leadership, the outcast Devil Splicers would return to reorganise their House and shifted massive resources to the Plaguelands after they discovered the Golden Age technology of SIVA.[14] A disgraced Archon Priest by the name of Aksis, ordered his group of bio-engineers to rebuild their old Prime and augment it with SIVA. The Splicers' leadership sought to use Sepiks's revival as a power play to recruit other Devils to join their movement by bringing SIVA offerings and gain complete influence over the House by controlling the flow of Ether. Sepiks was reborn and christened Sepiks Perfected.[15]
Later, a group of Devils captured Felwinter Peak to learn more about SIVA, causing Lord Saladin to send the Guardians to investigate the observatory and secure the Iron Temple back in the Iron Lord's hands, and keep its contained secrets about SIVA away from the Fallen. To the great shock of The Ghost, they encounter Sepiks who tried to establish a foothold on the mountain, emitting a strange energy signature and began regenerating its health, Lord Saladin quickly ordered them to kill Sepiks as he believed the Iron Temple doors weren't strong enough to hold the Prime back.[16]
Sepiks is later found assaulting the Temple's entrance with SIVA-enhanced blasts and protected by a SIVA immunity shield. After spotting the Guardians, it drops its shielding and teleports to engage them and summons the rest of the normal Devil reinforcements to defend it. The Guardians used the high ground against Sepiks and destroyed the Servitor, but due to its regenerative abilities, Sepiks would restore itself and retreat into the Cosmodrome. Shiro-4 then detects multiple impacts to the Sector 17 section of the Cosmodrome wall and Saladin orders the Guardians to stop Sepiks from escaping as the Devils now know the location of SIVA.[16]
With the Fallen Kells gone, reorganising a military force was deemed almost impossible until the reemergence of Sepiks. Shiro wonders if they could use the sensor grid to see how far their operations stretched, but Saladin replies that the Fallen are irrelevant and finding Sepiks was the main priority to understanding the SIVA corruption.[17]
A Strike is coordinated by Shiro to breach past their defences and destroy the resurrected Prime Servitor holed up in the Devils Lair. The Splicers employ a laser grid with added encryption and deploy Dresiks, Splicer Baron and Splicer Walker against the Guardians.
They then reach the lair and find Sepiks protected by a SIVA immunity shield which can only be dismantled by destroying the nearby SIVA Nodes. Sepiks enters battle with Splicer reinforcements and blasts them with its upgraded SIVA Servitor Eye blasts. Throughout the battle, Sepiks teleports to generate different elemental Shields that require the use of Shock, Scorch and Null Cannon to disengage it. Despite its new tactical abilities, Sepiks was unable to fend off the assault and was finally destroyed for good.[18]
Cosmodrome Arms Deal[edit]
During the operation to stop the Witness and prevent them from completing the Final Shape, the Guardian would help Micah-10 to do what they could to heal the Traveler and helping to locate several lost Ghosts. One of these missions involved finding and saving Hecate, a Ghost that was investigating a rumor that members of House Dusk were moving back into the old House of Devils territory in the Cosmodrome, despite the Devils having been gone for a long time. Once they got close to the location, Micah, Cayde and the Guardian would intercept Eliksni communications bristling with talks about a new Prime Servitor and the fact that remnants of House of Dusk were indeed gathering in the area[19].
This track not only implied that Eramis was more Ether-starved than the House of Dusk refugees and that she was not working under the Witness anymore but also that House of Dusk had a spare Prime Servitor to give her, meaning that they must have had another one or an alternative supply of Ether[19].
Gameplay[edit]
Sepiks Prime[edit]
Sepiks Prime is at first invulnerable but immobile; it will drop its shield and start attacking once all Fallen in the area have been killed. It then attacks like a normal Servitor, firing Void Blasts periodically while teleporting to fixed positions around the area. It may prove to be a hard-to-reach target when at high elevations. If a Guardian is in close enough proximity, Sepiks will continuously wield a deadly health-draining ability called "Servitor Attack" until the Guardian is dead or moves out of range. Sepiks Prime's weak spot is its eye.[20] Killing Sepiks is a Vanguard bounty.[21]
Sepiks Perfected[edit]
Sepiks Perfected is encountered twice in the Rise of Iron expansion. It is first encountered in the King of the Mountain Story Mission, where it can be seen leading an assault on Felwinter Peak to destroy the Iron Temple. Lord Saladin orders the Guardian to kill it fast or Felwinter Peak is officially taken over by the Devil Splicers. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, Sepiks Perfected will appear to launch an ambush. It attacks by firing bursts of five Solar Eye Blasts that have high velocity and a tracking ability. In addition, it can fly, levitate, and teleport around the area at will, and can always call upon reinforcements. If faced up close, it will launch a sustained beam that drains Guardians' shields in seconds. Your best bet will be to fight back from afar. When defeated, the mission ends, but Sepiks Perfected isn't officially dead.
Sepiks Perfected makes its last stand at The Devils' Lair Strike.
Destiny 2[edit]

Trivia[edit]
- Sepiks Prime is the first Prime Servitor encountered in Destiny.
- During Cayde's Stash mission, Sepiks' chassis is a scannable object. Despite it being blown to pieces, it is still intact.
- Sepiks Perfected is the third Prime Servitor to be rebuilt by the Fallen Houses. The first and second being Kaliks Reborn and Orbiks Prime.
- In Sepiks Perfected strike, the elemental Captain that carry cannons have differing red and yellow health bars.
- The original soundtrack Sepiks Redux was originally a cover composed by Youtuber and Periphery band member Misha Mansoor (Bulb). It was so well received by Bungie that they decided to include that rendition as the soundtrack for Sepiks Perfected.
- Sepiks Prime returns in Destiny 2 with its Strike in Season of the Chosen, along with the Strike Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and is one the rare few enemies from Destiny to return in Destiny 2, albeit with the addition of 2 Brig during the Fallen Walker phase in the Strike.
