Taken Ogres are a type of Taken Hive.
Gameplay[edit]
The Taken Ogres have lost their rapid-fire Void Eye Blast in favor of the Arc Rotten Surge, which is shot in bursts that increase in the rate of fire the longer it keeps shooting. In addition to this, Rotten Surge causes knockback, not strong enough to blow players away into obstacles, but continuous enough to make it harder to get close to the Taken Ogre, and easier for it to push players off of cliffs. Taken Ogres retain the ground slam and berserk ability possessed by their normal counterparts, while still being able to fire their Rotten Surge in their berserk state. They retain their large health pool and should be taken out with heavy weapons.
