Tautology is a mission in the Wishing All the Best quest of Season of the Wish.
Objectives[edit]
- Traverse the Lair and Slay What Lurks Within
- Portal opened
- Reach the next pathway
- Form a Portal to Escape the Trapped Room
- Plates activated: X of 3
- Plates activated. Find and activate all three plates to open the portal.
- Escape Through the Portal
- A portal has materialized, providing an escape route.
- Light the Torches
- Torches lit: X of 3
- Light torches to secure a path forward.
- Survive the Final Wave
- Dispatch combatant forces.
- Reach the Catacombs Through the Portal
- Enter the portal
- Dispatch Wardweavers
- Wardweavers dispatched: X of 3
- Dispatch the Wardweavers.
- Dispatch Ungoloth, Wayward Beast
- Deal with the Taken Ogre.
- Retrieve the egg for Riven
Transcript[edit]
Petra Venj: The Techeuns' calculations look promising so far. The next egg should be close.
Petra Venj: Be cautious. The Taken have already gained a foothold here.
Riven: They spread their influence with mindless fervor—much like Awoken royalty.
- The Guardian opens and enters a portal, taking them to the Crossing
- The Guardian arrives at and enters a portal, taking them to the Fetid Conduit
Riven: Wrath of the Queen, this is not your fight.
Riven: Somewhere out there, a pack of doomed corsairs waits for you.
Petra Venj: I'll be there. They know, I'll always be there.
Riven: You want to help them. You would do anything.
Petra Venj: I will. Without you.
- The Guardian defeats Taken and activates three plates to open a portal
- The Guardian enters the portal, taking them to the Temple of the Queen's Wrath
- Taken appear
Queen Mara Sov: Absent a commanding will, the Taken return to more… basic directives.
Queen Mara Sov: Their corruption may reshape these halls. Deal with them, before the path collapses around us.
- The Guardian lights the three flames
- Flamequeller Centurion appears
- The Guardian defeats the Flamequeller Centurion and the Hordes of Taken
- A portal opens, the Guardian enters taking them to Splintered Geode
Queen Mara Sov: You set obstacles in our path, mock our efforts—all while we seek to save your eggs.
Queen Mara Sov: Is gloating over the ruin you made of our home worth losing them forever?
Riven: You set the snare, then complain that I refuse to lay my neck within it.
Riven: To beg and weep for what you desire—that is not in me.
- The Guardian defeats Taken and activates three plates to open a portal
- The Guardian enters the portal, taking them to the Lararium
- Darkness Zone. Respawning Restricted
- The Guardian confronts Ungoloth, Wayward Beast
Queen Mara Sov: That beast is a nexus of corruption. Such a high concentration of energy will destabilize the Ley Lines.
Queen Mara Sov: Destroy it, or our efforts end here.
- The Guardian kills the three Wardweavers, breaking Ungoloth's shield
- The Guardian defeats Ungoloth
- The Guardian retrieves Riven's egg, and transmats it to Riven.
Petra Venj: Another egg secured. Well done, Guardian.
Queen Mara Sov: The Taken aren't the only creatures attempting to thwart us.
Queen Mara Sov: Riven seeks to entangle us in another loop—to keep us chasing down her clutch while the Witness runs rampant.
Riven: If this is a game, it suits your purposes. Sealing the eggs away, buying time for your broken Warlock to cheat me.
Riven: You have my terms. See this through, or make peace with your fate.
