Preceptor's Novices are Weavers encountered within the Sunken Pyramid. They are encountered in the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon as part of the quest that coincides with it, where they are necessary to kill to gain insight on the Dread Knowledge within.

Gameplay

After completing the Dungeon, players are introduced to the first part of the quest to access the vault the Dread were after. Once at this step, players must first enter Witness-Give-Darkness into the machine in the Hidden camp, which will initiate the secret encounter before the first true encounter. In the room just before the Solve the Riddle encounter, players will discover idle Shriekers, as well as an entourage of Attendants and the Preceptor's Novices among them, as well as a lit plate in the back of the room. To steal the Dread Knowledge the faction has claimed, players must eliminate these Elite Weavers, claim their knowledge and bring them to the lit plate until it dims, opening the door behind it and allowing the fireteam to claim the knowledge within.
