- "Pain and suffering is a delicacy to the brood and a feast for my worm. I shall be the last to bring pain upon this universe and no servants of the Dark shall take that from me."
- — Storgor
Storgor, the Great Shatterer is an Ascendant Hive Knight, wielder of Corruption and the leading member of the Cult of Unmaking. He is one of Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker's most powerful Ascendant champions and bringer of pain and data analyst, the latter comes from his torturing of victims, and serves as the leader of the Cult of Unmaking. He serves as the final boss of the Temple of Exultation Raid.
Biography[edit]
Rise of the Shatterer[edit]
- " I could not believe the words that were coming out of his mouth, the Court of Unmaking was meant to represent my ideas, but the great Maker has apposed the idea for me to lead the Cult that follows my ideals. He would instead choose another champion named Storgor to take the lead of the Cult, MY CULT. Shin'ra angers me so, but he says that he has other ideas he wants to share with me."
- — Zâtrox, the Necromancer
Storgor was one of the first Hive to serve Shin'ra as one of his Celebrants. He would hunt down many of the remaining Leviathans and offer them as tribute to be grafted into the Nephilim. Storgor earned his title as a pain bringer by torturing the enemies of the Hive and the Hive themselves for information and his own enjoyment, earning the moniker of the Great Shatterer. He assisted Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker in the creation of his Throne World, the High Forge. Though he was an Ascendant Hive, he did not desire to craft a Throne World for himself and sought to reshape a sector of the High Forge for himself to further his efforts of torture and pain.
He would be commended at some point by Shin'ra to become the leader of the Cult of Unmaking, a subgroup within the Weavers of Sorrow that also served as loyal servants who bring pain and suffering to all of the enemies of the Hive. The original creator of the Cult, Zâtrox, the Necromancer, was angered by Storgor's ascension as he had previously desired to be the leader of the Cult. Shin'ra however had other plans for Zâtrox as he needed him to serve as the Weaver's physician and mad scientist.
At some unknown point in time, Storgor would bear witness to an interrogation between Shin'ra and an unknown Hive. He claimed that the Hive was accused for seeking a "forbidden knowledge" in which the Hive rebutted that it was in the name of the Sword Logic. Shin'ra would use a special glaive to penetrate the Hive from which its corrupting energies would cause it to burst. Shin'ra would look to Storgor and say to him that if he ever reaches a certain moment, he must act instead taking pause.
Fall at the Temple[edit]
- " Storgor, mine Champion of Unmaking, the Great Shatterer. Tear these fledglings apart on thine sword and offer their dead things in tribute to thine master."
- — Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker
Many years later, Storgor would be called upon by Shin'ra to "levitate" the efforts of the Guardians in the Temple of Exultation and to destroy the corrupted Tree of Silver Wings. Despite the reinforcements, his recent empowerment of Light and Darkness and near destruction of the Tree, Storgor would fall and retreat back to the Ascendant Plane. Despite his failure, he would return again and again to stop the Guardian's efforts and corrupt the Tree once more.

Trivia[edit]
- Storgor's name comes from The Dark Below's cut content, specifically one of the original bosses, Storgor, the Shatterer, that likely was meant to debut in Destiny's original Hive raid before it was scrapped for the Vault of Glass.
