The Dire Taken[1] are a faction of Taken that began to appear on the Dreadnaught following the events of the Revenant Uprising. They are predominantly identified by tendrils emanating from their backs, their skin peeling back from their eyes and unique abilities compared to normal Taken.

- The Dire Taken are unique compared to their original counterparts due to the usage of Destiny 2 enemies, sprouting of tentacles from their backs and their faces have begun to peel back.
- The Taken Hive use models from Savathûn's Brood/Xivu Arath's Horde.
- The Taken Fallen use models from the House of Dusk.
- The Taken Vex use models from the Sol Collective.
- The Taken Cabal use models from the Shadow Legion.
