Overview

Planet:

Earth

Tibet is a mountainous region on Earth. The region's capital is generally considered to be the city of Lhasa. The Himalayas form a natural border in the southern part of the region, separating it from India.

Overview

Golden Age

In the logbook of Kuang Xuan (later a member of Aeronautics of China and head of the K1 project on the Moon), she notes that her master at the SUECABAO monastery belonged to the Tibetan Neo-Vibhajjavada-Theravada school of Buddhism, which had a "new and unorthodox presence in Tibet" at the time, but also possessed "ancient Indian and Sri Lankan roots".[1]

At some point during the Golden Age, the Tibetan city of Lhasa would become home to a research laboratory. There, a research team lead by Maya Sundaresh and overseen by a Warmind would create the prototype of a device that would allow the user to see into possible futures and alternate timelines. The detrimental effects the device inflicted on the user caused at least one death in the original research team.[2]

City Age

During the City Age, the Future War Cult would search for this device, which had been obscured and buried by the Collapse. Novarro would discover records of the original team's research, and Hari-5 would bring back what remained of the prototype. The device would later be rebuilt and refined by the Future War Cult, whose leader and trusted members would continue experimenting with it.[3]

Sometime after the Great Disaster, a swarm of Hive would come to infest the Himalayas, likely due a Seeder Ship. A bounty would be placed on them, and reported to Guardians by Xander 99-40.[4]
