The Witch Queen is the sixth expansion of Destiny 2 and the tenth expansion of the Destiny franchise.

Description

There is little known about the upcoming expansion. By the title of the expansion, many are expecting the main antagonist to be Savathûn, the Witch Queen, sister to Oryx, the Taken King.

  • The Witch Queen is the fifth expansion to focus on the Hive, the first being The Dark Below, second being The Taken King, third being Warmind, and fourth being Shadowkeep.
  • It is also the third expansion to be published solely by Bungie, the first being Shadowkeep and second being Beyond Light.
  • This expansion is the second to have a title related to the main antagonist's title, the first being The Taken King for Oryx.
  • This expansion is the first to be moved beyond the schedule of new expansion, right being in early 2022.
  • On July 7th 2021 Bungie released a teaser image for the official reveal of the expansion dated for August 24th.
