- Shaw Han - Guardian! Great timing. I've found some success in trying to break into the heavily encrypted data you took from your prior operation, but there's still some essential details I'm missing. What I can gather, however, is that they are after something here within these rusted yards and it's of such great importance that they've pooled a ton of assets into making something that can... uh, extract it? Interface with it? Yeah, as you can tell, they've intruder-proofed this "Project Godshackle". Irregardless, I wasn't buried in my work here, and picked up some Fallen movement within the Forgotten Shore. It appears the Fallen aren't done yet. ...and neither are we. Get after them, Guardian. Let's remind them who owns the Cosmodrome once more.
Testament
- Investigate Fallen activity in the Forgotten Shore
"There's nothing in the Forgotten Shore but dilapidated boats, tarnished outposts and rampant Hive. I don't really know what the Fallen could want from that location but a good stronghold. Either way, we can't let them get comfortable there." - Shaw Han The Guardian begins the mission, some Skiffs fly overhead in the direction of the Forgotten Shore
- Shaw Han - It seems the Fallen are keen on reinforcing whatever they are doing in the Forgotten Shore. I don't know why they're so keen on trying to- ...wait, I'm getting something. There's a signal being emitted on an open channel.
- ??? - [Garbled Static]
- Ghost - That's strange, it's heavily garbled, as if something is jamming it. Well, whatever it is, it's coming from the Forgotten Shore.
- Shaw Han - There's no Guardian forces that I know of out there. Either someone is pinned down by the House of Dusk or that signal is something they are intercepting.
- Ghost - Either way, let's find out and get the Fallen out of there.
The Guardian enters the Forgotten Shore
- Ghost - Not seeing a lot of heavy ordnance here, but am picking up... signal amplifiers? Are the Fallen broadcasting something?
- Shaw Han - Maybe. Or maybe they're trying to decipher it better.
- Ghost - One way to find out. Guardian, get me to one of those devices.
The Guardian interfaces with one, a Skiff arrives to drop off reinforcements
- Ghost - OKAY, I don't think the Fallen like that. I'll try to work as fast as I can, keep them off of me.
The reinforcements are slain and background noise from the amplifier disappears
- Ghost - Crud, the signal vanished. I think the Fallen remotely disabled the amplifier.
- Shaw Han - Odd that they don't want you to hear it. Maybe they are trying to set up a comms relay here.
- Ghost - Weird place to establish it, out in the open like this.
- Shaw Han - Yeah. Let's find another, see if we can keep the Fallen out this time.
The Guardian interfaces with one by the Reaver Vandal's cave and eliminates the reinforcements. Russian is heard through the device.
- Ghost - Wait... Is that Russian? Are the Fallen trying to tap into Human communications here?
- Shaw Han - It's likely. Perhaps it's some form of payback for what we did to them last time.
- Ghost - Something isn't right here. Get me to that last amplifier. Perhaps there, we'll get some much needed answers.
The Guardian interacts with the last one at the outpost building and neutralizes the assaulting Fallen. Music is heard through the amplifier.
- Ghost - I'm sorry. Is this amplifier playing pre-golden age music?
- Shaw Han - What? The Fallen don't strike me as the sort to listen to- ...Wait.
- Ghost - Shaw?
- Shaw Han - It can't be. We... we've sealed that complex years ago.
- Ghost - Shaw, talk to us.
- Shaw Han - If that's what I think it is, then I know full well what this Project Godshackle is!
- Ghost - Slow down, we're still in the dark here- ...hold on, there's another signal being broadcast from the Terrestrial Complex.
The Guardian enters the Terrestrial Complex and a Darkness Zone falls. They encounter light, but fierce House of Dusk opposition
- Ghost - Those guys looked tougher than the usual scavenger we deal with. I think we're on the right track.
The Guardian enters a massive room filled with Fallen forces guarding a signal relay. The Fallen are eliminated and the Darkness Zone temporarily vanishes.
- Ghost - That device... I think it's trying to link up to something. Let me at it, Guardian.
The Guardian lets the Ghost interface with the device. Upon interface, a Fallen siren is heard, the Darkness Zone returns and House of Dusk forces begin to pour into the room.
- Ghost - I don't think the Fallen liked that!
- Shaw Han - I'm detecting a lot of movement inbound on your position, Guardian. Stand firm! We can't let them get away with what ever this is!
The Guardian braves the Fallen attackers one wave after another. Two Major Servitors, Deksis-12 and Deksis-13 join the fray, along with a small squad of Fallen beside the relay. The Servitors, and their backup, are eliminated and the Darkness Zone dissipates.
- Ghost - I got all I can from that. We don't need what this thing is anymore. Let's destroy it.
The Guardian destroys the exposed Fallen relay.
- Shaw Han - Ghost, tell me, what did you get?
- Ghost - Not much. It's much more of the same: garbled Russian and classical music. As for the Fallen, they just kept hitting a multi-phase firewall again and again.
More comprehensible Russian is heard being broadcast into the room
- Ghost - Is that...?
- Shaw Han - Rasputin... The Fallen... That Project Godshackle- they're trying to secure control over Rasputin! Guardian, meet back with me as soon as you can!
- Ghost - Guardian, I don't think I've ever told you about the Warminds yet but... Rasputin is supposed to be Humanity's protector during the Golden Age. He as access to some of the most powerful weapons we've ever known and made. If the Fallen seize control over him... they could point those weapons at the Last City. Let's go, quickly!
Mission end
The Supply Chain
- Investigate the Fallen's resource depots and discover where they're moving material
"We've neutralized a Fallen splicer crew before they could interface with Rasputin's system, but I hardly believe that's the end of this little gambit here. Come back to me as soon as you can. We need to make sure they don't have anything else up their sleeves." - Shaw Han

- Shaw Han - Guardian, I'm glad you showed up when you did. If we hadn't dealt with that crew of House of Dusk hackers, the results could have been disastrous. But the Fallen are a tenacious bunch, as you notice, even without their precious Primes and Archons; this is hardly over for them. Rasputin has access to incredible ordnance that can level cities in a light barrage and technology beyond our wildest dreams. It's too juicy of a target for the House of Dusk to simply just give up on trying to acquire. So, if I were to hazard a guess, that crew was just probing Rasputin's defenses in the hopes of finding a weak point before bringing along something with more computational power. The only things capable of that kind of processing are Servitors, and I believe I know where we can follow up on this investigation. Head for the House of Dusk's resource depot within the Divide and scrounge around. I bet we'll find our next lead there.
Objectives
- Complete the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector

The Guardian enters the Lost Sector
- Ghost - Shaw, we're here. Looks like they have a couple of barriers ahead of us.
- Shaw Han - No doubt prepared for intruders such as yourselves. Look for something powering and it should fizzle.
The second barrier is disabled
- Ghost - I definitely think we're in the right place. There's a lot of Fallen here trying to stop us from getting in.
The Guardian completes the Lost Sector. Upon opening the chest, they are granted a Seraph Beacon
- Ghost - Wait, this is Warmind tech. How did the Fallen get their hands on this?
- Shaw Han - Must've been from a WarSat, a lot of those things land here in the Cosmodrome.
- Ghost - Go figure. The House of Dusk must've been preparing this little operation for months. And- Huh, looks like they HAVE been tampering with Servitor components... and some Shank parts too.
- Shaw Han - Then we must be on the right track. Hmm, maybe... If the Fallen had that Beacon, then they must have used it to try to locate Rasputin.
- Ghost - You think we can too?
- Shaw Han - Correct. Well, and maybe our Fallen friends as well, if my hunch is correct. All we need is a good vantage point and height in order for the thing to work.
- Ghost - Got it. Any ideas where we can find one?
- Shaw Han - Yeah, the House of Dusk's former lair.
- Ghost - Of course.
Vantage Advantage
- Ascend the Devil's Spire and attempt to triangulate the position of Rasputin's assailants
"Looks like we're heading back to the former Devils' Lair, Guardian. A bit tiresome heading back and forth, isn't it? Ah, well, if doing this will stop the Fallen from accessing Rasputin, then we'll do it and then some. Besides, I don't think we have much to worry about now. Should just be a couple riffraff." - Ghost
Transcript
The mission begins and the Guardian is taken to The Blast, witnessing the Fallen engaging Hive forces.
- Ghost - Uh, Shaw, we have a problem.
- Shaw Han - Don't worry too much. Since we gutted their Prime Servitor, the Fallen here shouldn't be too much of a problem.
- Ghost - It's not the Fallen. We've got Hive here! They're trying to get to the Devil's Lair.
- Shaw Han - What?! The hell are they doing here? [Grunts] Doesn't matter, anything that stands in your way is a threat to the city. Eliminate anything blocking you from the Spire.
The Guardian wounds an Ultra Knight, named Raspelox, Fist of the Coven, forcing him to retreat. The door leading into the Devils' Lair opens, allowing the Guardian to progress through, eliminating Fallen forces inside.
- Ghost - This is some serious Hive opposition. I thought after the death of Navôta, they would have fractured and splintered. Looks like someone or some people have taken over what's left of the brood.
- Shaw Han - A problem, for another time, perhaps. But for now, we need to stop the Fallen before they encroach on Rasputin. Take 'em out, Guardian.
The Guardian enters the Devils' Lair, eliminating the Fallen forces inside.
- Ghost - Remember when Deksis was a problem? Heh, good times. At least then, we weren't threatened by orbital bombardment.
Before they can head for the Spire, however, a Hive dome traps them in the arena itself and Raspelox reveals himself once more, shrouding the area in a Darkness Zone.
- Ghost - Oh, come on! Can't they see we're busy?
The Guardian whittles away a third of his health and he enters an immune state. Blades of the Coven arrive to try and eliminate the Guardian, but are dispatched, and their sword is dropped.
- Ghost - That sword... Guardian, let's turn it on that Knight!
The Guardian destroys Raspelox's shield and engage him once more. He regains another immune state once at a third of his health. More Blades arrive and are eliminated, and their Swords are claimed.
- Ghost - This Knight wants to stop us dead in our tracks and lay us low. He thinks he has us trapped and easy pickings. But he's dead wrong, he's going to be found wanting. Let's show him we make our fate!
The Guardian breaks his shield once more and eliminates Raspelox, collapsing the Hive barrier around them and allowing progression towards the spire
- Ghost - Take that! Shaw, we're on our way up to the spire now.
- Shaw Han - Nicely done! But I'm detecting more Hive on their way.
- Ghost - We're ready for them. Let's go Guardian.
The Guardian arrives to the elevators and eliminates a cadre of Thrall and Vanquishers. The Guardian enters one of the elevators.
- Ghost - Alright, we're in the elevator. Uh, Shaw, when was the last time these elevators used?
- Shaw Han - Only a couple of years ago, so they should be in safe, working order?
- Ghost - Should?
- Shaw Han - Oh, come on, you'll be fine. But, uh, do stand by for resurrection, just in case.
- Ghost - Right.
The elevator begins ascending
- Ghost - You know, I was here. This is where I first started looking for you, Guardian. I remember when the House of Devils and Kings were a problem circulating around here. Then it was the Taken. Then the Devil Splicers and SIVA. So many threats harried the Cosmodrome over the years. I could only imagine all the good work you could have done then. But we're doing good work now, right? Navôta, Deksis, House of Dusk... and I believe so much more is coming in the future.
The elevator reaches the top
- Ghost - Well, let's go, Guardian. We have a Warmind to save.
The Guardian encounters the bridge folded away from the Colony ship
- Ghost - That's... inconvenient. Shaw, looks like the bridge is out.
- Shaw Han - Must be the Fallen trying to keep the Hive off their tail. Maybe you as well. There should be a stream of power leading to a central conduit somewhere up there...
The Guardian climbs to the top and activates the panel
- Ghost - There we go! Bridge is turning now! Uh, Shaw, why are bits and pieces of it missing?
- Shaw Han - A previous operation. Don't worry too much about it. Should be safe for you to cross.
The Guardian enters the Colony ship itself and is ambushed by more Hive, lead by another Blade. They eliminate them and progress up the spire, evading a Taken rift before being knocked off and progressing up the ship. The Guardian arrives at the vista, encountering battling Fallen and Hive.
- Ghost - This is a lot of Hive for a simple attack run. You think they're trying to set up another den, Shaw?
- Shaw Han - It's likely. Without Navôta, there's been a power vacuum created in her absence.
- Ghost - Now every Hive commander wants to fill it.
- Shaw Han - Not if we have anything to say about it.
The Guardian arrives to the Fallen lift leading to the top of the spire.
- Ghost - This lift leads straight to the top of the spire, Guardian. Well, let's go find Rasputin.
The Guardian ascends to the very top, landing on a platform where the former dome once was. They briefly encounter a small squad of Fallen before they are eliminated by Alishkal, Matriarch of the Brood and a Darkness Zone falls.
- Ghost - That must be the Hive commander in charge!
- Shaw Han - Eliminate them, Guardian!
The Guardian whittles away at the Brood Queen's health until a third of her Health is reached, where she becomes immune and a warning indicates she is preparing a Fire Nova Gaze. Blades of the Coven arrive.
- Ghost - That Wizard is generating a lot of dark energies! Grab one of those Swords and we should be able to block it!
The Guardian secures a Sword and blocks Alishkal's Fire Nova Gaze. The Shield falls and she summons Brood Spikes. The Guardian repeats damage and avoiding death and finally eliminates the Matriarch.
- Ghost - That was no ordinary Wizard. That was a Brood Queen! They were trying to establish a new foothold on this spire.
- Shaw Han - Good thing we stopped them then. Now, is that beacon working better?
- Ghost - Yeah, sounds like it's leading us towards the direction of the Fallen. Let's start to search around the Cosmodrome now that we're here.
The Guardian looks around the Cosmodrome and ultimately stares off over towards the Forgotten Shore, the Seraph Beacon beeping faster and faster.
- Ghost - Back to the Forgotten Shore... but, I think I got a ping on the bunker itself. Or, at least an active signal coming from it.
- Shaw Han - Good work. Let's get after it and try and see what it really is. If we're fast enough then, maybe, we could overtake the Fallen.
- Ghost - Right. ...hmm, looks like the beacon is also picking up an active feed from that location. Best we reach it when we can.
Mission End
- Ghost - Well, on the upside, getting down will be easier than coming up here!
Securing the Complex
- Follow the signal underground and investigate the mysterious signal being broadcast to your Beacon
"The signal we're after is located somewhere underground the Forgotten Shore. Seems to be bouncing out from an opening; either a cave or some sort of aperture is letting it out. Either this is a live signal from our Fallen friends or Rasputin may be trying to help us. Regardless, let's get down there and see what all the fuss is about, shall we?"
Objectives
- Follow the mysterious signal being broadcast from the Forgotten Shore down underground
- [Update] Complete the Veles Labyrinth Lost Sector and secure the code fragment

The Guardian discovers the entrance to the Veles Labyrinth
- Ghost - Shaw, there's Hive gunk here. Looks like we're entering one of the broods' nests.
- Shaw Han - That's not good. We may need to find another way to reach it.
- Ghost - I don't think we're lucky enough to find another way in. This may be our only bet.
- Shaw Han - Understood. Just... be careful down there, Guardian.
The Guardian progresses further into the Labyrinth
The following dialogue appears following the release of Witch Queen
The Guardian comes across a barrier
- Ghost - Huh. The Hive have erected a barrier here. It's linked to that rune there. Damaging it should cause it to overload.
The rune is shot or damaged in someway, collapsing the barrier
- Ghost - There we go! But I'm picking up more of those energy signatures ahead. Let's get hunting.
The final door's runes are shot
- Ghost - Barriers disabled! I think that's it! Let's get after that signature.
End new dialogue
The Guardian neutralizes the horde of Thrall and discovers the outside of the Warmind Complex
- Ghost - Uh, Shaw. We see the Warmind Complex here.
- Shaw Han - The Fallen may be the problem here, but we can't allow the Hive to find a way in either. Let's wipe them out while we are here.
The Guardian completes the Lost Sector. Upon opening the chest, they are give a code fragment
- Ghost - This device was what was generating that signal. It was remotely activated by a signal coming from... it- Rasputin! He IS helping us! It seems to be incomplete though.
- Shaw Han - No, that's Hive corruption. We may need to restore it somehow. Hmm... WarSats should have essential codes necessary for accessing Warmind Systems.
- Ghost - So, we secure a WarSat, we can get the data we need?
- Shaw Han - Yes, but I doubt our enemies will allow us to secure it without a hastle.
- Ghost - I figured as much. Nothing ever goes smoothly for us anyway. Know any good places for us to start?
- Shaw Han - The Mothyards are wide enough for him to land them without suffering collateral damage, but the Skywatch is basically his turf. Either or should be a solid location for you to scoop up some access codes.
- Ghost - Understood. Hopefully, we can secure some before the Fallen do. ...unless they've already brute-forced through his system.
- Shaw Han - Don't lose hope just yet, Ghost. We'll stop 'em. We always do.
