Alishkal, Matriarch of the Brood is a ranking Brood Queen encountered within the Cosmodrome. By name, she is the Brood Queen of the Hive forces encountered throughout the Cosmodrome or, at the very least, a new contender for the Brood's leadership. She is killed by Guardians when she and her brood attempted to secure the Devil's Spire as a new broodhold.
Gameplay[edit]
A hybrid of her fellow Brood Queen compatriots, Alishkal is capable of tapping into both forms of Brood Queen models in her main form, mainly hurling Fireballs at her adversaries in an effort to scour them away and inhibiting their movements with bursts of Clouds of Darkness. She will often teleport away from the fray every once in a while to avoid being bursted down by heavy fire from her Guardian adversaries. Without warning or with a flick of a powered wrist, reinforcements will arrive in the arena, mainly backed by Thrall and Acolytes for the former and Elite Knights for the latter. When a third of her health is lost, however, she will gain temporary immunity and begin casting Fire Nova Gaze, which takes around 20 seconds to fully power. Upon completion, she will unleash a Nova Scream, which will either outright kill the players on the spire or send them flying off of it and killing them. To avoid a gristly end, players must secure a Cleaver from a Blade of the Coven and use the Block function to mitigate the effects of Nova Scream. Upon unleashing the scream, Alishkal will lose her immunity and cast Brood Spikes across the top of the spire to inhibit the Guardians' movement further.
