Luna was a dog who formerly served as Josef's animal companion prior to her death fighting Hive on the Moon.
Biography
Having been adopted and raised by Josef for an undisclosed length of time, Luna was beloved by the Vanguard at the Tower. According to Amanda Holliday, she was known to watch her owner's Crucible matches on Shaxx's feed, to which she barked every time he would fire his weapon.[1]
One day, Josef brought Luna to the Moon on a mission to fight the Hive, but she was instead killed by them which left Josef distraught for a time. She would be buried in a makeshift grave beneath the lunar surface and honored posthumously by Shaxx with a newly crafted Hand Cannon commissioned from Banshee-44 for her former owner.[2]
Trivia
- Luna's grave can be found on the Moon in Shadowkeep which is located in the Lunar Battlegrounds; specifically the area where you fight the Nightmare of Zydron, Gate Lord and where players enter the Black Garden for the Garden of Salvation raid.
