The Dread are an army of Darkness-powered entities created by the Witness with its paracausal Pyramid technology.

The Dread are comprised of beings reshaped by the Witness into their "perfected" form, with its Disciples serving as a genetic blueprint for some of the Dread units to have descended from their lineage and remnants of other subjugated species transfigured into its army using stolen Light from the Traveler.

Command structure

Attendant — Psion units that send out a wave of Stasis energy and inflict slow on targets caught in the wave's path. Artillery Officer Bound Attendant Fractal Attendant Frozen Attendant Tempest's Beloved Weaver — Psion units that send out a wave of Strand energy to pull its target towards it. Bound Weaver Gordian Weaver Tangling Weaver Grim — A highly mobile flying enemy that slows and suppresses a Guardian's abilities if they get too close. Resonating Grim Husk — An acrobatic melee bruiser that sends a deployable Geist enemy toward their foes unless slain by damage to their weak spot. Subjugator — Units that support their allies with Pyramid drones similar to the Stormcaller's Arc Soul and cast a variety of Stasis or Strand attacks with their spears.
