Heavy Shanks are a Shank variant belonging to the Fallen.
History
Heavy Shanks were first created by the rising Archons of the House of Devils from Cosmodrome debris and cannibalised Servitor parts to infiltrate the vault of the Warmind Rasputin during the Taken War.[1]
A year later, amidst the SIVA Crisis, the Devil Splicers created a variant called Voltage Eaters to defend Vosik, the Archpriest in their lair.[2] By the time of the Red War the following year, the House of Dusk began mass-producing Heavy Shanks to provide fire support for scavenger crews. These Heavy Shanks use the same model as S.A.B.E.R.-2, but are armed only with void turrets. Since then, Heavy Shanks have appeared across many Houses and other Fallen syndacates.
Gameplay
Heavy Shanks are quite possibly the most difficult Shank model to dispose of, given their bulkier chassis and upgraded firepower. Their Void turrets can lay waste to even the most resilient Guardians, and are capable of taking more damage than any other Shank. However, Heavy Shanks are slow and cumbersome targets, making them vulnerable out in the open. Their weak spot is the purple vent on the front.
