The Severing of the Nightmares was an operation conducted by Coalition forces, mainly the Vanguard and Imperial Cabal, to deal with the emerging threat Calus's ship - now infested with Egregore and haunted by Nightmares - the Leviathan now brought in his attempt to form a psychic connection to the Lunar Pyramid and become a Disciple of the Witness.
