Urrox, Flame Prince, also known as the "scion of Oryx", is a Hive Knight found in the Prison of Elders in Destiny. Urrox held watch over an ancient brood that has long since vanished. He has a special ability where if he stomps the ground, the floor will cause Solar damage to Guardians for ten seconds. He is killed in the mission Prison of Elders: Urrox's Grudge.

Years after his death, the forces of the Lucent Brood would invade the now Tomb of Elders in search for the Echo in the hands of Fikrul, the Fanatic. Urrox would be one of the Hive to be risen by a Hive Ghost, reborn as Urrox, the Risen Ember.

Gameplay

Prison of Elders

Urrox fights much like any other Hive Knight, bombarding Guardians from a distance with his Boomer and slamming into the ground whenever they get too close. Occasionally, red text will pop up and say Urrox's rage burns the ground in which the floor will become unassailable for some time and will burn the players if they stay on the ground. It will last a few seconds in which a second set of text saying Urrox's rage dissipates and the floor will no longer burn the player.

Tomb of Elders

Urrox, the Risen Ember is encountered in the Cryocell encounter in the Tomb of Elders when facing the Lucent Brood, emerging from the aforementioned Cryopod after enough enemies have been defeated. He fights like any other Lightbearer Knight and will require his Ghost to be crushed to stop him from being resurrected

Trivia

• 'Scion' is often referred to as a young shoot or twig of a plant, especially one cut for grafting or rooting. It is also a title given to a descendant of royalty that does or will not have an inherited position like a Prince or King.
• It's unknown what Brood Urrox used to belong to. He may may have belonged to the Blood of Oryx due to his title of "scion of Oryx", as Hive titled by Oryx are either part of or have relation to his brood. On the other hand, his model is similar to a Swordbearer, which are mostly known for their membership in the Spawn of Crota, which may also hint at a relation to Crota's brood.
• Kandorak and Zulmak, Instrument of Torment bear a striking resemblance to Urrox, both looking like Sworbearers with a flaming theme.
• Urrox and Skolas are the characters with the longest gaps between appearances, at 3837 days, or exactly 10 years and 6 months.
