Season of Defiance is the 20th season of Destiny 2 and the first season of the Lightfall cycle, which began with the launch of the Lightfall expansion on February 28th, and ends on May 22nd. The story consist of the forces of The Coalition rescuing prisoners captured by the Shadow Legion on Earth following The Witness's assault on The Traveler.
