Xûr's Blightmongers are Taken Minotaurs employed by Xûr, Agent of the Nine as part of the Dares of Eternity.[1]
Gameplay
The Blightmongers look like normal Elite Taken Minotaurs, but are highlighted by a glow over their whole body. Upon killing them, they release several orbs of Paraversal Energy, which Guardians can pick up. They are most notably encountered during the battle against the Paraversal Challenger, where their orbs are used to drop the boss' shield, but can also appear in the Valley and the previous part of the Vault, where they manifest if the orbs of the giant Paraversal Contestant are not enough to destroy the Blight.
