The Blightmaker is a Taken Ultra who appears when the Taken Blight Public Event has been triggered to Heroic difficulty. This is done by damaging the large Taken Blight in the center while having the Blight Receding buff applied. The bosses fight much like normal giant versions of themselves, pelting foes with their weapons, smashing them with their Melee, and disorienting them with their abilities. Once they are killed, the public event concludes, and a Chest is rewarded to participants.

Trivia

• As of Into the Light, all destinations that this event occurs on that are not in Destiny Content Vault spawn the Tormentor boss instead of the Taken Captain Boss.
