Echo of Riis
From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki
The Echo of Riis is one of several paracausal artifacts known as Echoes that were released from within the Traveler following the destruction of the Witness. The Echo communicated through singing, which both Eramis and Variks recognized as a dirge mourning old Riis,[1][2] and has the power to alter an Eliksni's Ether. In the hands of Fikrul, the Fanatic, it could corrupt living Eliksni into Revenant Scorn, while Eramis was able to use it to purge the Darkness of Nezarec's curse from Mithrax.[3]
Description[edit]
This section is a stub. You can help Destinypedia by expanding it.
As seen mounted on Fikrul's staff, the Echo resembles a three-pronged spearpoint glowing with Prismatic energy, mounted on a metallic emplacement piece.
Trivia[edit]
- Although Variks was unable to recognize the singer when he heard the Echo's "song", he nonetheless identified the song as originating from Riis, specifically from the days of the Whirlwind.[2] Whether or not the Echo is formed from the memories of an as yet unnamed Eliksni singer or even the long-vanished planet itself is not specified.
