They act as the primary antagonist force in the Renegades expansion.

• The Barant Imperium is heavily based on the Empire from Star Wars, with its troops having a similar look and color scheme to the Stormtroopers.
  • Additionally, several Elite troops feature an orange pauldron on their left shoulder similar to Stormtrooper Commanders.
• The Barant Imperium is the only enemy Cabal group to not have Phalanxes.
  • However, they do possess Phalanx Energy Shields.
    • The possible reason for the lack of Phalanxes was probably due to the various shield technology the Imperium had.
• When despawning, Barant Imperium troops have the same effect as the forces of the Witness, notably the Shadow Legion.
