Bean is an unpartnered Ghost that Micah-10 frequently met during remote scouting missions and that frequently ran into hostile territory.

During Operation Ahamkara, as the Coalition began preparations to stop the Witness from enacting the Final Shape, Micah would send the Guardian to find Bean on Nessus and bring him to the Pale Heart to help in the Traveler's recovery. After tracking Bean's signal to the Insight Terminus, the Guardian fought their way through Shadow Legion deserters and defeated a cloned Kargen, the Technocrat that was attempting to access Sol Divisive research on the Veil and information on the OXA Machine. After finding Bean in the Pools of Luminance, the Guardian brought them back to the Pale Hert to help heal the Traveler.
