Protometon, Nexial Hijacker, is a Vex Axis Mind of the Sol Collective, with the form of a giant Minotaur. It is encountered on Neptune, where it attempts to take over the CloudArk by hijacking the operations of the Shadow Legion.

Gameplay

Protometon is the last boss of the Terminal Overload activity that takes place throughout Neomuna. The Minotaur appears alongside large numbers of Vex reinforcements, and will fight nearby Guardians with its Torch Hammer, Temporal Shockwave stomps, and sometimes turning its left arm into a launcher for Arc Slap Grenades. Once a third of its health is depleted, Protometon will become immune to damage and stand still in its spot, summoning three diamond-shaped Oracles and large numbers of Quantum Wyverns and Fanatics, as well as Seeker traps. Destroying the three Oracles will make Protometon vulnerable again, and it will resume fighting. The Nexial Hijacker will attempt to shield itself with Oracles one more time before it cannot do it anymore.
