From the day Horzûk entered through the gate, he felt distant from his brood. Of course he was. Though he was big, he was also quite fragile, dropping the stones that he was requested to collect for study.

They were instructed to scour the location that they found during the assaults on Europa and sought the secrets of the machines. But there weren't any secrets on this distant star, just massive structures fueling a Vex engine.

He would bring the samples to his commander. Mighty and strong she was unlike the weakness of Horzûk. She pointed to the broken specimens and roared at him for his actions.

"These samples are inadequate!" Novnoh would pick up one of the stones and would throw it at Horzûk's direction, though it would miss. "The Necromancer demands intact specimens of the machine rock, not these specks of dust!"

Novnoh would turn away from Horzûk, who would give her an expression that is comparable to an impolite gesture. He too would leave to go and continue his work.

Taking more pieces from the ground, he noticed another of his brood staring out at the sun. Their movements had ceased, like they were bewildered by its light.

"What is it?" Horzûk asks.

It had fallen silent for a few moments, but it would turn towards Horzûk. It had been partially grafted into machine-flesh, dripping with machine fluid out of its eyes and mouth.

"You do not know why we are here."
