Crystal Hunts are activities accessible on the Moon, introduced in the Shadowkeep expansion. Hunts are instructed by Eris Morn to Guardians to defeat the Nightmares of the Guardians' most formidable foes to weaken the Pyramid as much as possible.

Overview

Crystal Hunts are a 3 player activity roughly half the length of a Strike.

Throughout the activity, Guardians will face mostly Hive, Taken, Dread, and other forces aligned with the Witness alongside enemies of the Boss's race if it is not already Hive. Champions also feature across the activity. Common mechanics of the bosses consist of becoming invincible until two Majors are slain, as well as summoning low-tier Minor enemies equipped with abnormally resilient Absorption Shields.

There are a total of 5 Crystal Hunts, each with their own boss is loyal to one of three active Disciples of the Witness or a freelance agent working for themselves.
