Acanthos, Gate Lord is a Vex Gate Lord encountered on Nessus. Like Zydron and Qodron, it is embodied in a massive Minotaur chassis. It is the first boss encountered in the mission Six.

Biography

Acanthos is first encountered in the Glade of Echoes during the mission Six, combating the invading Fallen forces on Nessus and blocking the path to the Exodus Black. Once destroyed, the Vex gate is unlocked, allowing the Guardian to advance forward.

Trivia

• Acanthos is the third Gate Lord encountered in the Destiny series, with Zydron being encountered in Eye of a Gate Lord and Qodron in The Forever Eater.
• Gate Lords are responsible for keeping Vex realms locked out of time.
