Val Cunqu'us is a Cabal Bloodguard Incendior of the Imperial Cabal who serves as a commander and one of the Imperial Generals who volunteered to defend the champion of Cabal, Ignovun, Chosen of Caiatl.

They are slain by a group of Guardians inside the Halphas Electus during the Proving Grounds Strike.

Val Cunqu'us will occasionally spawn in the second phase of "Clear Out the Vehicle Bay" portion of the strike. They will appear alongside two Goliath Tanks and spawn from the far left side of the vehicle bay. Their spawn however is infrequent and in some instances they can be replaced by a Halphas Honorguard or Val Trekitus. Multiple play throughs of the strike is recommended to increase the likelihood of encountering Cunqu'us. There is a possible chance that Cunqu'us and Trekitus will spawn together, which can help players complete the triumph faster.

Gameplay

Val Cunqu'us is a Major Blood Guard Incendior with significant durability and health. They have an additional shield which requires Void damage to break. Cunqu'us will shoot players with its Magma Laucher which deals a considerable amount of Solar damage. In some instances Cunqu'us will kneel and shoot a special Magma attack that can launch players backwards. Cunqu'us is capable of limited flight and will strafe to avoid attacks. It will also unleash a melee in close proximity. Heavy weaponry is recommended to eliminate Cunqu’us quickly.
