Acolyte

Acolytes are the main attack force of the Hive. They use ranged weapons in combat.[1]They utilize firearms and strategy to counter their enemy, coordinating with other Hive to destroy their targets. Unlike the lesser Thralls who act with little sense of self-preservation, Acolytes actively utilize cover to avoid incoming fire from enemies.[2]

Trivia
In an earlier build viewed and reported upon by Game Informer in December 2013, Acolytes were named "Troopers". The name of this class was subsequently changed.
