Version 1

The Rig

Sloane: Operation Caliban, welcome to the show. We've got several fireteams missing beneath the Arcology. We got one report a few hours back, but it's been radio silence since then.

Zavala: This is combat search and rescue in extremely hostile territory. The Hive are notorious for their cruelty. Expect the worst.

Sloane: Those Guardians are my responsibility. Get in, get out, and don't die.

Follow the Lost Fireteams
Retrace the footsteps of the lost fireteams
The player enters the Solarium.

Deploy Ghost to inspect the Hive magic locking the doors into the Arcology
The player approaches the doors leading into Arboretum

Ghost: These locks are brand new. The Hive must have just sealed this door.

Sloane: Heads up, Caliban, we show Fallen inbound toward your current position.<

The Fallen appear in several Skiffs and commence battle with the players. Included in their number are several Heavy Shanks

The player continues into the Arcology

Sloane: I'm consulting Vanguard archives on Hive rituals. I'm getting a lot of hints about...death experiments.I don't know what you're walking into, Caliban, but keep your eyes up. I want you alive at the end of it

Ghost: I think alive is the bare minimum we should shoot for...Sloane? Are you there?

Sloane: [static: Can you hear me, Caliban? Are you there? They're not responding.]

Unknown Male Voice 1: No! [static: No, please,] they already took my Ghost, please!

Ghost: That must be one of the missing Guardians. Tracing his broadcast now.

Arboretum
The player enters the Arboretum and encounters more Hive surrounding a crystal full of Void Light, located in a Hive receptacle being overseen by a Wizard, one of Savathûn's Handmaidens". A short distance past these is a Shieker, which is being made invulnerable to the player's attacks by an identical receptacle position in front of it.
Search for the Lost Fireteams
Prevent Savathûn's Handmaidens from carrying out their ritual

Ghost: Up there, by that crystal. That's where the broadcast came from.

The player kills the Handmaiden of Savathun.

Ghost: That crystal was full of Void Light!

The player approaches the receptacle containing the crystal, picks up the Void Charge and proceeds to slam it into the Shrieker's identical receptacle, destroying the Shrieker and it's invulnerable shield

Ghost: Void Light can only be created by Guardians. I don't understand how the Hive got their claws on it

Find the Lost Fireteams
Continue to make your way through the Arcology
The player enters the next area and jumps down several stories through the Hive colony to the floor below where a large hole sits, sealed by a Hive magical device

Ghost: This... what is this?

Search for the Lost Fireteams
Deploy Ghost to inspect the Hive totem
The player approaches the device

Ghost: This is a cap on some kind of summoning spell. The whole thing is being powered by Void Light. The Hive are calling something to Titan. No wonder they don't want company.

Takeo-3: Is someone there! [static: Hello! Hello? Anybody listening? I swear I just heard a voice.]

Ghost: ...We copy! Who is this?...

Takeo: [static: I'm going to] keep going, and keep talking [static: until] the signal gets better...

Form a plan to disrupt the Hive summoning ritual
Stop the Hive from using the Void Light of dead Guardians to power their summoning ritual

Stop the Hive from using the Void Light of dead Guardians to power their summoning ritual

Ghost: We can't let the Hive use these to fuel their magic

6 of 6
The player destroys the Crystals, which die with a final tortured scream, and all Hive that get in their way.

Ghost: I still don't understand how the Hive could have captured so much Void Light.

The crystals destroyed and the Guardians released from their suffering, the barrier dissipates and the players continue into the Arcology. IN this version of the strike, the area contains Fallen and Hive forces at war with each other. The Hive force contains multiple "Hungering Ogres"
Storm the Hive-occupied levels of the Arcology
Destroy the Hive Ogre that stands in your way
The players kill the first Hungering Ogre

Takeo: [static: Takeo-3], unknown fireteam, do you copy?

Ghost: We copy! Are there others with you?

Taeko: No. Just us down here.

The players continue, clearing the area and killing a second Ogre

Takeo: I'm looking at a hell of a summoning ritual. Biggest Shrieker I've seen in all my lives. Mark my words, something real mean and real old is gonna use that thing to lay eyes on this planet

The players continue further into the arcology, however Their progress is blocked however when they find another barrier being powered by more Void Crystals.

Disrupt the Hive Summoning Ritual
Stop the Hive from using the Void Light of dead Guardians to power their summoning ritual
In version 1 of this encounter a small Fallen force which gives way to a larger Hive force. The player encounters another Void Crystal receptacle being presided over by a pair of Savathun's Handmaidens. The Wizards and their Hive are killed, and the players pick up the Void Charge, carry it a while as they fight through the area until they locate a pair of Shriekers, slam their single receptacle and disable them both, allowing the players to advance.

Ghost: I might have an idea. Let's find Taeko.

Rendezvous with Takeo-3
Join up with Takeo-3 to take down the Hive together
The player follows the path as it leads back into the central area and the Hive totem sealing the pit below. Upon their return to thsi area, the players find the totem being overseen by a pair of Handmaidens who they engage and kill. With the Wizards killed, the totem's seal on the pit breaks, exposing the gaping hole in the middle of the floor, leading through the Hive colony, into which the players descend.

Takeo: Getting a little dicey down here. You need to turn back.

Ghost: Hang in there. We're on our way!

Taeko: No! Turn back!

Ghost: I know what to do. We have to turn the crystals against the Hive.

Takeo: But there are no powered crystals in this chamber. What's plan B?

The player enters the pit and makes their way through tunnels of the Hive colony towards the summoning ritual in the Chasm of Screams.

Taeko: You're right. There is a way out of this.

Ghost: What is it?

Taeko: Embrace the Praxic Fire

Chasm of Screams
Restricted Zone
The player enters the Chasm of Screams in the bowels of the Hive colony. The area is in pitch black darkness and full of Cursed Thrall.
The tunnels open upon the boss arena with the giant Shrieker Savathûn's Song, currently dormant, dominating the center of the map. Beneath it another Void Crystal rests in its receptacle

Ghost: Taeko...

The players destroy the crystal

Ghost: We're going to make you proud, Taeko...

The Crystal destroyed, the giant Shrieker stirs and the battle begins
Silence Savathûn's Song
Silence Savathûn's Song. Use Taeko-3's Void Light against the Hive at the right moment.
At 95 or 90% Savathun's Song will begin summoning Hive to reinforce it during the fight. At 90 or 85% the Shrieker will then teleport away to the right side of the map (from direction of initial entry) and summon reinforcements when reduced to 70%, and lock itself in its shell while these are killed. At 66% (two third health remaining) the Shrieker will return to the center of the map and summon reinforcements. At 50% it will move to the left and summon reinforcements. At 40% The Shrieker will lock inside its shell and summon more reinforcements including a trio of Ogres spawning right besides it while it remains on the left. With the Ogres defeated, the Shrieker unlocked and its health reduced to 33%, the Shrieker will return to the center once more. After returning to the center the Shrieker will gain the ability to target the players with high damage projectiles, Axion Darts that slowly track towards the player, though the player can identify and shoot these darts before they reach them and not receive any damage. The Shrieker will also summon more reinforcements.
At 20 or 15% the Shrieker will retreat to a large platform separated from the main play-space by a pitfall, accessible only by platforming over some lesser platforms rotating around the larger platform, and from this larger platform it will envelop itself in an invincible shield connected to the Void Crystal receptacle on the platform. At this moment, the other receptacle in the center of the map where Taeko-3's crystal was located will have another Handmaiden appear and attempt to reforge Taeko's Crystal to restore power to Savathun's Song, by gathering up its essence. The player must then kill the Handmaiden, which will destroy the partially reconstructed Crystal, causing it to dissipate, leaving only another Void Charge in its place.

Ghost: Here's our chance

The player must pick up the Void Charge, reach the large platform where the Shrieker and several wizards are, slam the charge into the receptacle, crashing the shield and forcing the Shrieker to return to the center of the map.
The players kill Savathun's Song

Ghost: Well, we did it. Wish we'd had time to think of another way, but... we did it.
