The Thrilladrome is an indoor arcade-themed Lost Sector located on Neptune that is occupied by the Vex. It features a large variety of games and entertainment for the people of Neomuna and, was described by Sam Moleyn to be, the premier destination for Extreme E-sports in Neomuna. The Thrilladrome had root access to the CloudArk to help crunch cycles, which led Vex under the command of Agon, Strategic Hydra to attempt to create a backdoor into the Cloudark by using the building's mainframe to create a portal into the Vex Network.
Gameplay
In this lost sector, the player will come across four Circumstancial Controllers that are staring at an arcade machine. It is best to leave them alone, as they are useful for the boss fight. When the player enters the Vex Network, some platforms are phasing in and out of existence. The boss room has few places to stand, so it is quite easy to fall as the room is mostly a large open pit. There will be up to four Circumstancial Avatars (1 for each Circumstancial Controller left alive). Once eliminated, they will drop a Vex Cranium, a powerful Arc beam weapon that the player can use to take out Vex infantry or the boss with ease.
In order to summon Agon, two vex cubes forming an immunity shield over a Cyclops must be destroyed. Dismantling these two cubes will also stop the platforms from vanishing. Once the player has destroyed the Cyclops, Agon and multiple Harpies will spawn out of the exit portal. The Hydra's battle tactics are highly aggressive and can overwhelm and easily kill the player if they are not careful. Once Agon is defeated, the player can open the chest and leave via a portal back into the arcade.
Transcript
The Guardian enters the Thrilladrome
- The Ghost: I'm detecting a major Vex force inside, Guardian, and lots of utility access. We should find out if this building is critical infrastructure. Sam, are you on comms?
- Sam Moleyn: Yeah, what's up, little bud?
- The Ghost: We have Vex fortifying in a large structure on the waterfront.
- Sam Moleyn: Lemme just find you on the security feeds and– whoa! Are you in the Thrilladrome?! Aw, I miss that place! It was THE premiere destination for extreme e-sports.
- The Ghost: It's what? Like... video games?
- Sam Moleyn: Extreme. E-sports.
The Guardian progresses through the Thrilladrome and comes across a portal accessing the Vex Network
- The Ghost: Sam, there's a Vex portal accessing the building's mainframe!
- Sam Moleyn: Oh, that's super-bad. The 'Drome's got CloudArk root access to help it crunch cycles.
- The Ghost: It WHAT?! We've got to get in there and stop it, Guardian!
Only before Root of Nightmares' release
- Nezarec: Heh. Line after line of circuitry... beckoning corruption.
and/or
- Nezarec: Vex. Hmph. Disappointing. The Sol Divisive are truly the best of you.
or
- Nezarec: I will extend my power into these spaces.
or
- Nezarec: Beings become perfectly malleable after so many hours of mind-numbing... "fun".
or
- Nezarec: [inhales] Breathe deep. Be thankful I can do no more than this.
The Guardian eliminates Agon and completes the Lost Sector
- The Ghost: An entire building dedicated to fun in a district meant for entertainment! It boggles my mind. I can't even imagine something like this in the Last City. The best we have are bars... and that weird playhouse where everyone sings.
or
- The Ghost: An "arcade." What a concept! What do you think it's like to have free time and spend it playing video games, Guardian?
or
- The Ghost: A virtual arena to test every skill you can imagine against your friends? Shaxx would love this place.
or
- The Ghost: Can we come back once things calm down, Guardian? Sam says they have a thing called "Skee-Ball." If I get enough points, I can win prizes!
or
- The Ghost: An entertainment building with a backdoor into the city network. Makes me wonder what blind spots we have in the Last City's defenses.
or
- The Ghost: Vex assaults against this site keep ending at the firewall. It's a testament to Neomuna's encryption. I wonder if they'd share with the Tower?
or
- The Ghost: Hey, Sam, why do the Vex need to invade the Thrilladrome anyway? Can't they access the CloudArk anywhere in the city?
- Sam Moleyn: Yeah... they go over this stuff in primary school. Basically, the Vex use cascading quantum entanglement, but... yeah, the CloudArk's a psychoreactive Nth-dimensional fold.
- The Ghost: Of... course...
- Sam Moleyn: It's like... neither one's a computer network, exactly, and the ways they're not is... different? I don't know; that class was boring.
or
- The Ghost: Seeing these gutted machines just takes me back to the Traveler and watching the Witness just... dissect it. I can't shut it out.
or
- The Ghost: I worry, Guardian, that I'm nothing more than another machine, like these games. I haven't just switched off, like during the Red War. Is that because I'm a person? Or am I just plugged into something else now? But I suppose a game machine can't feel the absence of its creator...
or
- The Ghost: The arcade again. Once the Vex get an idea in their heads, they don't let it go.
- Sam Moleyn: So, we got a saying in Neomuna: "Vex-locked." It means banging your head against the same problem, no matter how much it hurts. It's, uh... not a super-flattering saying.
or
- The Ghost: It's interesting how the Neomuni value recreation. Even in the Last City, with our struggle to survive, we have games and stories, and even the Crucible. Maybe "fun" is one of those things that makes you human.

Hive themed arcade games
Trivia
- Many of the arcade games are themed around racing and dancing.
- The arcade machines with white lines and arrows are similar to what is displayed on the screens and monitors at Bray Exoscience and Eternity on Europa.
- These same machines, as well as some glass panels, can be damaged and destroyed.
- There are Hive statues on some of the arcades despite no hive presence in the lost sector on Neptune. It could be possible they were made via observations of their activity on Earth and other territories the Hive occupy.
- Hunter helmets can be seen in some claw games.
- There are small pieces of the Vex Network on the arcade consoles the Circumstancial Controllers use.
- The only Vex unit that needs to be killed to activate the Vex network portal is a single Quantum Harpy at the end of the arcade.
- You can exit the Vex Network without killing Agon, however doing so will not open the exit door of the arcade.
