WHAT IT TAKES TO LEAD

Asaris slammed his fist down, angrily. He stood on the command deck of his Ketch, overlooking the hanger. Numerous Skiffs lined the walls and the opened area below showed the texture of Europa. “Call in the rest of the Skiffs as well as our troops. I want them fueled and ready. Extra Ether for everyone, as well. We need to be ready.” He ordered. Asaris was a man of ambitions. His current one was to become the next Baron of House Salvation, like his father: Phyksin. Under Asaris rule, a lot had happened with his crew. He took the group of his house who didn’t want to follow Eramis or The Witness. The ones who just wanted to thieve and get themselves rich. That was a lot. And now they were his responsibility. He had heard of this vault from an informant. And informant who he would be seeing today. Asaris walked from the bridge, trailed by his lieutenant, Yeriks. Yeriks was the only member of his crew that Asaris really trusted, he knew the operation plan and would get it done. He was loyal. “Asaris, are we sure we can trust this snake. He betrayed his own brothers, why wouldn’t he lie to us?” Yeriks asked. “Because we will pay him.” Asaris responded. “His fellow officers did not lie to him, he is part of the boarding crew as well.” Asaris explained. Yeriks and Asaris walked into the main area of the Ketch, standing before a large mass of Fallen. “Our guests have arrived.” One of them called out. Asaris waited as the pressurized doors opened. In stepped a group of Cabal grunts. Leading them is Val Moriv, the leader of the traitors. He snaps his fingers and the Cabal set up near the door, Slug Rifles at the ready. “Asaris! It’s a pleasure to see you.” The Val said, voice warm with faked civility. “Let’s cut straight to the chase.” Asaris said, voice cold. “Straight to business, as usual.” The Val noted. “What do you have, what do you want.” Asaris replied. “I have information on the exact location of the Vault and an inventory of the weapons inside.” Moriv spoke. “And what do you want?” Asaris asked. “Your soldiers help. I want to go claim myself a ship and desert my legion.” He stated. Asaris nodded, walking back to consult his lieutenants. “What do you think?” Asaris asked Yeriks. “I think we should kill this little-“ He was cut off by Asaris who put a hand to his mouth. “Calm down.” Asaris pleaded. “We’re gonna take his offer.” He said, looking to the Val. He stepped up to them. “Tell me everything.”
