---|---|
War Beasts are the Cabal's frontline attack animals and military hounds used by the Red Legion.[1]
Overview
War Beasts are feral, vicious attack animals deployed by the Red Legion in order to act as cannon fodder for their forces. These beasts are highly aggressive and will attack any enemy in sight, including Guardians.
Gameplay
In-game, War Beasts have no ranged abilities but compensate for this with their incredible speed. War Beasts will usually be deployed in numbers, and will attempt to overwhelm their enemies with sheer, animalistic force. They will attempt to ram you with their heads.[2]

Trivia
- War Beasts are the first animal enemies to ever appear in the Destiny franchise.
- Their attack strategy of using overwhelming forces and swift movements makes the War Beasts similar to the Hive Thrall. They also essentially serve the same purpose as cannon fodder.
